Hi everyone, I am a new quaker mommy, my Bertie is 3 years old and I have had him for 10 weeks, he was very agressive when he first came to me but I think we are making headway all be it 2 steps forward 1 step back, any advise that anyone thinks might help I would be extremely grateful for, I live alone and my Bertie is to be my companion for the rest of my life and I would love to be able to give and get affection from him, can he be turned around or is he to old?

Welcome to the Forum! Bertie is still a young parrot and there is certainly potential for you to make progress with him. Lots of patience and plenty of time will be needed. Let Bertie set the pace. Spend some time just sitting and talking to Bertie, and when he's being cooperative, give him lots of praise and offer him a treat too if you want. You should have a lot of good years together to look forward to.

Hi there & welcome to you and Bertie! Cnyguy is correct, Bertie is still very young, so it should be possible for his aggression to disappear if you are patient and willing to spend a lot of time with him. Reward the good behaviour and ignore the bad stuff (if possible). I'm sure if you give him lots of time and he comes to trust you, that it will pay off.
