I found this forum while I was searching for "oldest quaker parrot". I have a male Quaker named Mr Ruby. He just goes by Ruby....lol. Thought he was a she many years ago, took him to the vet and had some blood drawn and it came back that Ruby is a "he". Well now, I thought.... I will just throw a "Mr" in front of the name. He doesn't know the difference. Any who.. My Ruby is 33 years old now. He will be 34 in May of 2020. He is still going strong but sleeps a lot. I feed him seed and fruit and veggies. He loves to talk. He clucks like a chicken, quacks like a duck, caws like a crow, barks like a dog, laughs like a witch and likes to ask me "whata ya doin? Just to name a few. I was wondering if anyone has a quaker this old or older?

Welcome to you and Mr. Ruby. It's always good to hear about an older QP who enjoys a good life as Mr. Ruby does. My QP Ralph is much younger-- 10 years old as of today.

Welcome to you and Mr Ruby, what a grand age. It’s neat to hear about, you must be doing something right !

Welcome! Our blue quaker, Bonnie, is only 5 (we are only new QP slaves). There used to be a few more active members on this Forum that had QPs in their late twenties, but I think Mr. Ruby may have the record for the moment. Hope you enjoy the Forum - there are a few threads about ages of quakers that might be interesting reading.
