Hi, I hear they are one person birds, but I was wondering if the whole family handles them from a baby can they be family birds?

A QP is likely to build a strong bond with one person, but with proper socialization can become friends with other household members, or to at least tolerate them. This article from the companion site quakerparrots.com might be helpful to you.

Hi there, yes, they can be socialised to be friendly with all household members, but it takes a little bit of effort and consistency. Our Bonnie is 5 years old and started attacking my husband a couple of years ago, but changes from day to day who her favourite person is that day. She's quite unpredictable. It's important to realise the behaviour is part of the parrot personality and just don't take it personally. Remember the parrot loves you!...just not ALL the time. We have learnt to take her behaviour one day at a time and don't hold a grudge into the next day. Never a dull moment!
