I have written before how I had gotten my Quaker and paid for DNA testing. I had mentioned how I found out this breeder lied and never tested our bird even though she told us it was a boy. Well, recently I tried to review her Aviary to warn others of what has happened since we brought her wrong-doing to light. This is why I felt I needed to come here to find some sort of support over what transpired. I want to include here that I am fearful for my family's safety and had to remove my review on birdbreeders.com.
This breeder became passive-aggressive and started to message me claiming we were harassing her. She began building lies...almost to try to create some kind of reason to secretly cause us some kind of harm. She began writing things on her social media about my husband and asking her followers if she should call the police for a wellness check on our family. Mind you, my husband is a 20 year, respected firefighter/paramedic who is the most gentle soul you'll ever meet. He's a loving father and husband and it floored me that she was trying to insinuate he was violent all because he asked her for our money back for the DNA. She has done this to two or three others from what I read in the reviews on her FB page and accused them of things as well, once they questioned her about the DNA paperwork. Anyway, I wanted to try to warn others to NOT buy a bird from her, but instead ended up removing my review after I began to see how mentally unstable she is. My husband is afraid she might do something because she has so much of our personal information like address and cc and phone numbers. This Quaker is my first bird and before getting him, I researched breeders for a year. When I saw her FB page, I really thought she was the real deal. She made claims that she raises therapy birds and so on so I thought she would be great. She has become a scary nightmare and any chance of us ever getting another bird is out the window. I feel traumatized by this experience. Any advice on what we should do? Thanks!
