I just bought a huge cage for my birds, but it needs lots of tlc. Have to power wash it, need to get rid of rust, and needs re painting. But I don't know what kind of paint to use that would be good for the birds. Any ideas.

Having a cage powder coated is the best thing to do-- but unfortunately, that usually costs more than a brand-new cage.

Yes it is costly, and I can not afford it. But I did find a site on here that says rustolium is safe and it tells you how to do it. But the krypton paint is not good to use. So I bought some of the other stuff. Don't know how much paint I am going to need because it is a huge cage. It's like 30 inches wide by 24 deep, and stands about 5 foot tall. Has bottom seed tray and one at the top for a perch.on toys
