I chose a baby Quaker today. He won’t be able to come home for 5 more weeks. I held 3 different babies before him. They were restless and nervous. The one I purchased instantly snuggled in to me and fell asleep. I definitely had that bonding moment. Is this normal behavior for a baby bird ? ![]() |

It's normal behavior for a baby parrot who is comfortable with the human they've chosen.  Waiting 5 weeks to bring him home won't be easy, but it gives you plenty of time to get everything ready for him. |

Thank you for your reply. It won’t be easy waiting; but I am going once a week for the next five weeks to spend bonding time with him before he can come home. Working on choosing a quality cage and toys for him while I am waiting for him to come home 😁.

I'm going to move this thread to "Quaker Parrot Talk". I think more people will see it, because I don't know if everyone looks at everything on the Forum. I have a feeling that some people only look at the sections specifically about Quakers. 😊
