I didn't think anything about it until about 2 hours ago I was changing his water and there was a EGG!!!!! So # 1 Max is now Maxie, #2 What in the world do I do? And it's a BIG egg. Bigger than a quarter!! I'm afraid SHE will keep laying?? Help me!!!

Thank you for the info. It is very helpful. I feel better now. I just hope she doesn't continue to lay. This was such a shock. After 13 years, WOW!!!

Welcome back to you and Maxie. Glad that Caseysmom directed you to something helpful. I have no experience with egg-laying parrots so far, but am always on the alert with my 15-year-old CAG Scooter, who hasn't yet laid any eggs, but it's always possible. I've heard of several parrots who had never laid an egg until a later age, so Ms. Maxie isn't alone.

Thank you for the welcome! This is a little stressful. She is still staying at the bottom of the cage, but has not laid anymore eggs. It's so weird calling her a she. lol
