How to explain this.... I am looking for a couch for Widget. My Wife and I have a loveseat?? (Console in the middle, reclines). Widget has his cage next to us. I let him out at night and he will sit on the side of the cage and is well behaved. However, once in a while he climbs to the top of his cage and that is the place he loves to let it be known that he exists. He will scream, squawk and throw things at me.
So, what I am looking for is something that is on the same level as us. It would be a place where he can eat, play, etc. Anyone know of something like this?

Hi there! I replied to your other post about the cat. You could get Widget a birdstand/playstand which you could place wherever you want. It's basically what we call a T-stand, just a flat base with a simple pole and a perch on the top. You can get them with built-in holders for food and water dishes and a play area at the bottom (sometimes called 'play gym'). You could always place the playstand on the middle console of your couch (?) so he's on your level. Our Bonnie likes flying to the top of her cage and screeching when she gets there, accompanied by aggressive behaviour - it's kind of a parrot thing. When she does this I bring her down and either play with her at my level or take her to her outside cage on the verandah to break the aggressive cycle of behaviour. It pretty much works.

That is what I figured the behavior was. "Climb on top of the mountain and proclaim to the World you exist."
Do you have any links for examples? I am still new to the bird thing and I am concerned about getting something that may be harmful to Widget. It is so bad I researched a toy that had a bell in it to make sure that it didn't contain lead.

Sorry Docque, somehow I missed seeing your last post with your question. Waterlogged has given you some good links (thanks!).

Are you handy at all, or know someone who is? You can build something for a few dollars that will roll around so he can sit near you wherever you are.
