I have always used at least one stone perch with my other birds to keep their nails down is it worth it with a quaker as they are are not as heavy as macaw when handled

I've never used a stone perch, but my QP Ralph has a cement perch and one made from crushed seashells. They both help keep his beak and toenails trimmed down.

I have one that looks like rough cement, as well. I like to keep a bunch of different perches (of different diameters and materials) so the nails get worn....otherwise my birds tend to hold a grudge if I have to clip nails!
