Quaker parrot, thinking now it's a girl. Talks like crazy, but is now 1 yrs old and is acting like a female as far as trying to mate, puts the favorite toy on the back and makes she wild noises' My other parrots have their favorite toy and rub on it. Just wondering if you all think my Quaker parrot is a girl.

Hi MaryH, that is a question I'm unable and unqualified to answer! Although I will say the males and females tend to behave in a very similar fashion, so I would not take the behaviour as a sign of either gender, particularly. If you look through the various sections of this Forum you will find quite a few threads about Behaviour (do a keyword search for sexual/hormonal behaviour) which may help you. Welcome.
