Today is Ralph's 5th Hatchday.  He was in a cheerful mood all day (in spite of molting) and I think he enjoyed the day. He got some new parrot toys (which he'll probably ignore) and some good parrot treats for his hatchday. |

I know what I try to give mine on their birthdays/gotcha days (if I don't know the real date of their birth) is attention and time. With eight of them, plus the dogs, fish, snails, lizard, band and full time job with crazy hours, what they really want is me. They get presents and treats, too, but they've got one or two of everything imaginable already. LOL

Happy Birthday Ralph. What to give a bird who has everything? Anything he asks for lol.... probably lots of rides on the shoulder and a lot of attention. Hope he has a great time.

Ralph and I thank you for his hatchday wishes. It is pretty tough trying to come up with new ways to spoil a parrot on special occasions when that parrot is routinely spoiled.  For his hatchday, he got some of the special treats he likes so much and can't have too often-- some cinnamon donut and cheddar cheese. I gave him the opportunity to stay up later on his hatchday too, but he was ready for bed at his usual time. |

For his hatchday, he got some of the special treats he likes so much and can't have too often-- some cinnamon donut and cheddar cheese. I gave him the opportunity to stay up later on his hatchday too, but he was ready for bed at his usual time.
