Stonewall Jackson -"Jack" my rescue QP of9 days is getting a little better behaviorally, Today he came out of the cage and went up top. He will let me scratch him, feed him by hand and will come over and give me a kiss. But he will not step up unless he is away from the cage. Once the dog barked and he flew into another room. I was able to retrieve him easy and he did get on my finger and cuddle. The question is how do I get him away from the cage when he will not cooperate in his territory that I am invading. Away from the cage he would be a different, more lovable bird. Any suggestions?? Thanks
