My cheeky Quakers love the egg biscuits ie Avia....but when I ordered the last batch they sent Bob Martin My little friend for small animals.....the only thing I can see different is instead of Poppy seeds these have fruit..and the vitamins are slightly lower or higher.
Question: do you think they are safe for my Quakers
Thanks

If that is the only difference in the ingredients I would think it is safe. I do question however... why the packaging would say "for small animals"... I would want only packaging that reads... for birds.

Thank you Julianna for your reply....yep I was surprised, considering I ordered the Avia ones which are for birds.....my mischievous pair of Quakers adore egg biscuits..am still a little worried about giving them to them. thanks again

Have you tried boiled eggs? My Oscar loves a small piece of egg in the morning on his seeded toast... lol I usually have poached eggs but I have heard many folks say that their Quakers love boiled or scrambled eggs.

Scooter the CAG's favorite food is scrambled eggs. Ralph likes them too, but only eats a tiny bit. They'll both eat hard boiled eggs too. So I make some just for the parrots-- I developed an allergy to eggs when I was young and can't eat them myself. I'm not familiar with the brands of egg biscuits mentioned in the original post, but have used other brands like Hagen. The ones I bought are specifically for birds though; not sure if the nutritional content of the ones for "small animals" is suitable for parrots.

We often have scrambled or fried eggs in the pan on weekends. Bonnie loves having a small piece with the white and yolk included....she will squawk up a storm if she doesn't get it.

Almost every day I have poached eggs on a piece of high fibre bread. Oscar loves this... he waits very patiently while I am preparing breakfast.
