My Yoshi is almost 11 years old. She layed her first egg about 8 years ago. After her first egg she layed one egg each year for 3 years until she layed 2 eggs, 3 years in a row. Then no more egg laying for the past 2 years. In January I took her to my mom's house for two weeks while I went on a cruise. My mom has two male birds, a McCaw & a Cockatoo. They all had their own cage and never came into contact with each other. I thought nothing of it. My mother told me that her McCaw had a crush on Yoshi and was swooning over her. Funny funny. Until we get home and Yoshi just had her third egg. She has never had them all together. It takes her a couple weeks just to have one. I'm really hoing this is over now as I would like my Yoshi back. Poor baby.

I have a male and female Quaker but they hate each other and several months ago, Jade laid her first eggs ever (she'll be 14 in June!). I checked and they were infertile, so who knows what prompted it. I have a female starling who is 5 1/2 and has never even gone into season (starlings' beaks turn yellow when they're in breeding season, so there's no doubt). I kind of doubt the macaw or cockatoo's presence prompted Yoshi's egg laying, but I suppose it's possible.
