Is anyone interested in contributing thoughts and ideas so that we can together come up with a recipe for the perfect smoothie for humans and QPs to share?
My current (human) morning smoothie typically consists of: Frozen mixed berries (these are ok right.....?) Banana (ok?) Baby spinach (ok?) Ground flax & flaxseed oil (I don't think these are bird safe) Soy milk or coconut milk or coconut water or almond milk (not sure about these) Tropical breakfast juice from the fridge section of the supermarket (not sure which juices are ok) A chlorophyll supplement (?) Wheatgrass powder (?) Maca powder (Great for breeding birds, might cause sexual frustration in non breeding birds)
I'd love to modify my smoothie so that I can offer some to my new QP, and make it as healthy as possible for both of us.
Anyone else ever offered smoothies to their birds?

From what I see all your ingredients seem fine except I am not sure about the chlorophyll supplement and Maca powder. If you don't need these then you can leave them out. I personally do not drink smoothies and knowing my Quaker I do not think he would want one either. In your list of liquids I would choose coconut water because many Quakers are lactose intolerant.
Let me know if he enjoyed it.

I missed seeing your post until now. I haven't done any smoothies for Bonnie, but it's mainly because I can't eat fruit, dairy or wheat myself. Bonnie only takes the smallest sips of any liquid I offer her, then ignores whatever drink it is (e.g., chamomile tea). She seems to prefer just plain water. It's great that you are making an effort to offer your new companion a varied and healthy diet.
