I need a new home for my Quaker Parrot Tiki. Tiki is an 18 month old female green Quaker Parrot. Tiki is hand trained and is very affectionate. I will be moving and I can't take her with me. I am offering her along with her cage, food, and accessories, free of charge to a GOOD home. ![]() |

Hi Suzanp, I'm sorry to hear you need to rehome your quaker. Where are you located? Our forum members come from different countries all over the world.

I'm not familiar with that pet store as I am
in TEXAS but here even in this small town they can't give the time and attention needed. I adopted from a pet store and it was much like a rescue as she didn't feel safe and was a real biter even when unprovoked. Ayear into things she landed on a lady visiting and chose her to love and connect with so as any loving parent I helped pack her things. Froda and her new Mom are last I heard best friends. I stayed in touch for over a year.

I'm late in viewing this..I live in schaumburg which is only a couple miles away! I know the store you're talking about too ! Drove by it while going to the fox river to fish. They are good folks at that store. Last time I went there,mid February?? They didn't have any quakers,so I'm sure they found a good home for her.
I stayed there for an hour and bought a couple toys and played with a sun conure who was real friendly..took a lot not to bring him home..hopefully in the future you can get another when the work load pairs down.

Is your quaker still for sale? I am looking to buy a Blue Quaker Parrot and would love to give one a home. I do have children, so it would need to be friendly and not nip. I live in Duluth MN
