I adopted Mango about three months ago. He is almost 12 years old first parrot I have ever owned but definitely not the last

G'day there, mangosdaddy (and 'Mango', I assume?). I just replied to your other post. Hey, tell us more about Mango! I assume he's green or yellow?

Thanks everyone happy to be part of the group. I adopted Mango from a parrot rescue. He is a green Quaker and I was told he was 11 years old as of February 10th. He came from a home where he had another Quaker as neighbour but not in the same cage with him. No other information was given. He does talk some but only to my wife and daughters but he is bonded with me and that took less than a week to happen. He has never been territorial with his cage or his perch or anything else with me since I brought him home.

Hello to you both and welcome. Always nice to have new members. It is good to hear that he bonded to you so quickly... that is awesome.
My Quaker (Oscar) is green as well and a spoiled little fella too. He is territorial of his food ... even with me and a little with his cage. My husband is not allowed close to it... lol but I am.
I hope you have as much fun with your new buddy as I do with my Oscar.
