I'm amazed, but just in the last month or so Bonnie makes a noise like a zip whenever she sees my backpack or a suitcase (or anything that actually has a zip). It's always in context, not just random. It always makes me laugh! What other noises can I expect as she gets older?

Mr P imitates the lawn mower. It is next to impossible for me to be on a conference call for work (I work from home) when the lawn guy is mowing around my office window. Between the real lawn mower and Mr P's imitation, I can barely hear myself think let alone talk

Ralph hasn't imitated zippers or lawn mowers (yet), but when they were installing new carpet in the apartment next to mine, each time the installer tapped it down, Ralph tapped back. He also beeps back at the toaster oven when it shuts itself off.

Neat that Bonnie can do a zipper sound, I don't think Casey has ever noticed that...We have one hinge in the kitchen that squeaks, Casey can do that squeak perfectly, she is also quite good at barking like the dogs and if anyone has a cold, she has got the cough down pat!

Bonnie picked up the wolf whistle from one of the cockatiels in the outdoor aviary. She also does little laughing noises (especially after pooping on our clean clothes) and we can have whole conversations taking turns saying "waaa!"...weird I know! No chance of her copying the lawn mower or vacuum cleaner, as she freaks out whenever she sees them. .

Casey loves to laugh, she joins in whenever she hears anyone laughing, nope not weird, Casey and I go back and forth saying things too and like Bonnie, Casey hates lawnmowers, they get the warning call of doom whenever she sees one!

Peppy does an excellent chicken. Bawk, bawk, bawk, bawk, bawk, bawk, BAAAAAWWWWWKKKK! Every repetition gets louder and louder, so I hesitate to get him started, but it is really cute. I don't know if he picked it up himself or was deliberately taught.

Hey, Bonnie added the beeping of the microwave to her repertoire of sounds today!

Happy does many zippy noises. The sound of zippers, the zip zip zip of someone walking in corderoy pants, the ziiiiiiip of a fingernail on a nylon jacket....anything that has a nice high ziiiiiip noise is exactly the sound Happy loves most. She will practice making these noises for hours in the evening once she's in her cage.
