I have a 8 week old Quaker who shakes his head side to side and shakes his tail frequently I want to make sure it’s normal and not neurological

It could be baby behaviour (as, at 8 weeks, he has probably only just started to eat on his own and fly). But it might be good to get him checked by a vet anyway, seeing as he's so young. You could ask the vet to give him the all-clear and ask about the shaking at the same time. Make sure you go to an Avian vet, though, not one who isn't a bird specialist. Welcome to the Forum.  |
