Hello, so I've got a bit worried about the health of Apollo.
I woke up to hear him fluttering around the cage (this isn't normal behavior for him) like he had fallen or got spooked by something, I went to lift the cover off and saw him stood in one of the corners on his top perch. I looked around the cage and spotted what looked like some spots of blood and decided I had to handle him to see if he was bleeding and where from. After grabbing him in a towel I gave him a quick look over and didn't see any signs of blood on his wings or body, unlike me who got some nasty bites on their thumb. After he was put in the cage and relaxed I noticed he started to twitch his head like he was saying "no" and blink his eyes at different times (I'm not sure if that's normal or not). Part of me thinks it's nothing serious and it's just him recovering form been in the towel but I'm worrying that he might have an infection or I've hurt him while I was handling him. He's eating ok along with pooping, doing the odd chirp (but he mostly been silent) to me and has been preening himself, but he's just fluffed up in the corner and looking like he wants to go to sleep.
Going to see if he goes back to normal by the end of the day, if it gets worse I'll find out when the avian vet is available to give him a look over. I might be freaking out over nothing, but after his sister passed about 3 months due to a sudden and unknown ailment it just puts you on edge over theses things.
