The same old problem has re-emerged. Bonnie is being a little pain in the proverbial and has started squawking again, every 1-2 seconds, even when we are in the same room and she can see us... It gets worse if one of us walks out of the room. Then she squawks more, even though the other person is still there. To make matters worse, our 'special needs' cockatiel (can't fly & has weird feathers) is in his own cage in the living room as well. Now, whenever Bonnie goes to her sleeping cage he starts calling for her and they both squawk non-stop for up to 20 minutes at a time. The things we do...

Do you think something has upset her? I didn't realize you still had your special needs guy inside. I suppose a sleep cage for him near Bonnie is out of the question...

Hmm, that's a good suggestion...but not possible for now. There is nearly zero bench space here and we are looking for a bigger unit/house when my lease expires on 17 Oct. Thanks, though! Maybe instead of having Bonnie's sleeping cage in the laundry (which is about 2 metres long!) we should put it in the 2nd bedroom & buy a sleeping cage for the cockatiel to put in there too. You've given me food for thought.

Pidge does this when I am out of the room. I am going cold turkey and ignoring him and he eventually settles and starts talking to himself.
