He screams. He screams when im sleeping he screams when im awake he screams when im talking to him he screams when im holding him hell he screams when im scratching him, he still fluffs up like he likes it, but he's still screaming
He just WONT STOP SCREAMING. Were talking like the loudest he can be and its not like once a min, its like once a second and theres no end.
This has been going on for weeks. No matter how much attention I give him there's no end.
The only thing that HAS stopped him, is moving him to another cage that I have (it was meant to be a last resort for the cabin kind of cage, its a finch flight cage, its not a good cage) on the complete other side of the house. After about 2-3 hours of having 0 interactions he will finally stop screaming. If he hears ANYTHING in the house hes at it again for another hour or so. I wont keep him isolated like that for NO reason... but I cant hear myself think anymore, and I cant sleep anymore, and I have read every single "screaming bird" article out there and none of them apply.
We go outside often, he doesn't scream outside, but I cant possibly do that every day all day...
He used to play with toys, i've tried replacing them, moving them, putting them back >_> He just ignores them and screams now. He stops for like 5 seconds when he gets new food and water, looks at both, eats one piece of food goes back to screaming.
I used to let him out of the cage all the time, he used to be happy climbing around his cage, now he sits in the open cage and screams. He can fly to me if he wants, he used too, but instead he screams.
Ive gone so far as to ignore him for 6 whole hours, he doesn't stop. Eventually i give up because I cant take it any more and move him to the other cage.
It's essentially ruining my day to day life.
To be clear... He's very tame... He knows words and will follow me around the house and come on command, or did before this all started. He will only bite me if his food dishes are involved or i'm not respecting his personal space... he's a good well trained bird, and nothing has changed to cause all of this...
