We have had Taylor for almost three years--she had a tough act to follow as we had recently lost the avian love of my life--a 20 year old Senegal. Taylor amazingly has bonded to both my wife, myself, and our ten-year old puppy. Her extensive vocabulary in contextually correct. She asks to go night-night at dusk. Loves to call me an "Eek bird " and then laugh about this. She asks for her coffee (decaf) or a banana. She will ask and then give a kiss. In short she is sweetheart!

Hi Colonel, Taylor & associated flock! Welcome to the amazing world of quaker parrots. They are full of surprises and incredibly smart. Who would have thought such intelligence could exist in such a small body? Sorry to hear about your Senegal... Our Bonnie laughs whenever she poops on my newly washed and ironed clothes (she is rather cheeky). We hope to hear more about Taylor and your experiences with her.

Taylor sounds incredibly sweet. These little birds stand in no parrot's shadow, do they? Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the forum. Taylor sounds really sweet. My Quaker only talks when he thinks I am not listening but I sure do wish he would talk more often.
