I had a Quaker parrot for 10 years. And she died last year in Oct while I was at my 40 year class reunion and my husband took care of my baby. She was a wonderful pet. She talked to me all the time. I am ready for another parrot to give my love to. I had this parrot since she was a baby. She was hand fed. No feathers yet. I am looking to adopt at any age. I am retired so I am home 24/7 to give my attention to a new baby.

Hi Janet. I'm sorry for your loss. They're wonderful companions. I'm assuming you're in the U.S. Have you looked on www.petfinder.com? If you're anywhere near Colorado, I highly recommend www.thegabrielfoundation.org. If not, there might be a bird rescue group closer to home.

Hi there, I am in Australia, so cannot help you, but thank you for your willingness to adopt one of these very special birds. Easttex has given you great advice and I wish you the very best.
