2 male birds, they are not accompanied with each other At most 4 months old Elijah and Leon Please email me, as I have never been to this site but I am desperate: emailRead below for reason behind rehoming I was begging my parents to get me a bird for months, as I had done a lot of research on Green cheek conures and cockatiels. One night they took me on a secret trip, and took me to Petco and told me I was getting a bird. I was unprepared as Petco does not hand-train birds and I wasn't properly equipped to adopt parakeets (which was all they had). I ended up getting two parakeets as I was informed they are very social birds, which put even more stress on me as I did not have the knowledge or the time to hand train two parakeets. Later that week, I told my parents I did not want to keep them as I wasn't ready for the parakeets, and that I was hoping to get a single bird, I really wanted a green cheek conure. They told me that the parakeets had to be returned to Petco, and I wasn't going to let that happen as the poor birds did not need to be returned to that environment. It is now 2 months later and I still have awful trouble hand training them, as my schedule is backed up with improper scheduling of school activities and music lessons. Not only do I not have the time, but I don't have the money as my parents now refuse to buy them anything including simple food for them, and they refuse to take me to any pet stores to get them food. I have paid friends to buy me bird food, and as I have had to get cheaper versions one bird is now having calcium deficiencies from an improper diet and I have had to add a cuttlebone to their cage.

Sounds like a very sad situation for your birds. It would help to let people know where you are located.
