I have been making myself lots of curry laksas since coming to Darwin (it's funny, although it's still about 30C each day in winter, people still eat lots of winter-warming kinds of foods like curries and soups!). As usual, Bonnie sat on the edge of my bowl surveying what was on offer and having the odd taste. Somehow she must have dipped her head feathers in the curry soup - I have NO IDEA how she managed it, but I was trying to rub her head feathers to clean it off and, predictably, she just wanted to nip my fingers. So now she has a yellow patch on her head. I wonder how long it will take to disappear?

This calls for a photo, doncha think? Yeah, I thought of it but missed the moment, as usual! And today I can't really see it anymore, so it seems curry stains disappear from bird feathers overnight.

Ha Ha! I love the image in my head! When Pidge is bad I tell him there is just enough of him to make a cuppa soup.
