I set up my mini hi-fi system a couple of days ago and tuned it to a local Darwin station that has Aboriginal music on it, then left the room to do some washing & housework etc. I was probably out of the room for about 20 minutes or so. There was lots of didgeridoo playing and wailing going on from the radio station and Bonnie must have liked it...she started doing all her whistles, then was saying "Scratch, scratch" REALLY well for ages (much better than she does it in front of me ) and lots of "good girl", etc. I think she likes radio better than TV. Of course she doesn't do any of it when I'm IN the room.

Somehow that all makes sense. I can imagine that kind of music would be very ear-catching, and maybe a little closer to nature than some. I'll have to try it on Allie.

I might get a CD for Shah. Bonnie might end up doing some dancing to the music

I've just bought Pidge a radio. I don't listen to music so would be happy for any suggestions. We watch Wiggles Nursery Rhymes and he loves to sit on my shoulder while we sing enthusiastically but not well. I'll try him out with the didgeridoo.

Try some classical music too (Mozart very good for kids and pets). I have a CD called 'Didgin' in the Dirt' that Bonnie doesn't mind.

Hahaha, imagining Bonnie singing along with her own little words is adorably cute! Maya likes Rag'n Bone Man at the moment, particularly 'Wolves' and she also squawks along very enthusiastically to Pavarotti. I leave the radio on for her while she's out and she often chats along to it (I can hear her from the kitchen when I'm cooking, an activity not safe for her to join in with!) But Aboriginal music sounds like something I ought to try!
