I went in Ollie's cage to give him broccoli then I went to close the door since my mom and I were planning on going out, he was sitting at the front and started climbing out, I got him in and then when I moved away to close the door he flew. Like actually flew, he went in a circle around the room then landed on the budgies cage and stayed on there for an hour, I moved the cage next to his so he could climb ontop of his and get food and water. The vet and shelter said he couldn't fly and at the vet when I saw him he was like a chicken, he was up then down in seconds.

That's wonderful! He's obviously building up his confidence due to your kind and loving care. You'll be able to handle him one of these days.

Great! Never give up hope, as they can nearly always surprise you! This will, no doubt, be the first of many magical flight adventures for Ollie (and you). 😊
