Wow, those photos are amazingly beautiful! Thank you for sharing them. Casey is a pretty girl. I love the finches, Daniel and the swans, too. The last 2 photos: is the 2nd last one a woodpecker? (We don't have them here) And is the last one a kind of Wren?

Thanks, yes the second last one is a downy woodpecker. I have a pair of downys and a pair of Hairy woodpeckers that come to my feeder. I don't know where the Hairys nest but last year the downy pair nested in my backyard. I had fun watching them build it and feed the chicks. I have a video I will look for the link
The last pic is my grandson feeding a chickadee. There are several places near us to hike where they have been conditioned to eat from hands. I have chickadees at my feeders but they aren't that tame. We also get lots of goldfinches they are currently just starting to get their summer colours.

Those are gorgeous photos! I'm in birdwatcher heaven right now. I have wrens and phoebes building their nests right up against the house, and two pair of chickadees and one of bluebirds have leased my boxes. We have a great variety of woodpeckers here. We get downies and hairy, flickers, red bellied and red headed, and the most impressive, pileated.

Lucky you, I would love to be there taking pics of the chicks! Flickers have visited occasionally and I know where to hike close to my house to find a Piliated pair, and some red bellied. I don't think I've seen a red headed one around here I got some nice pics of a tame red bellied the other weekend at Niagara Falls. We are going there for dinner this weekend. There is a spot called dufferin islands just near the top of rainbow falls that is great for bird watching too. I got a cute little titmouse pic then too. I a, hoping for better lighting this weekend. I hope you can take some pics of your nests To see bluebirds I have to hike into a provincial park near us and they have blue bird boxes. Most were taken over by tree swallows. But last year I found blue birds in one of them.

I'd love to see Niagara Falls! I think my phoebes are a little leery of the wrens having a nest in their line of sight. They're not terribly close, and I hope they can happily coexist. I'll get some pictures and post.

I'll get some pictures and post. It is less than an hours drive so we go there often, though I spend most of my time in the greenhouse or at dufferin islands. Within walking distance of the top of the falls but tourists seldom go that far up so both places are nice and peaceful. I cant wait to see your nests, you will have fun hearing all the little chicks peeps!

Wonderful pictures.... thank you so much for sharing. Casey is as pretty as ever and your other birds are lovely. I got a professional photographer to take some pictures of Oscar the other day as he looks so gorgeous with his wings full. He will be going to the vet in April to have them trimmed so I wanted some pictures of his wings full. As soon as I get them I will post them.
