When Pllie gets excited he bangs his head against his bars and perch, today it looks like he has a bruise on his beak, I'm not sure how to discourage this behaviour since he's still banging his head in stuff.

I think Pllie either wants out or wants attention. Does she/he get to come out of the cage? You may want to leave the door open and see what happens. It is a good idea to have a perch on the door so that she can gradually come forward.

That can't feel very good. The beak actually has a lot of feeling in it. Between this and his blood feathers, I would be taking Ollie back to see a vet.

There was only 1 blood feather the day before I thought it was blood but it was actually he had been eating beets and they were allover since he likes to eat them with water then groom. It hasn't bled since that morning. The blood feather in September was a bump that was from him having birds diabetes (we've changed his diet). The bruises are from him banging his head on things though. Not from falling either he started quaking then making kissy sounds and then starts banging. It's an even bigger problem if his cage is next to the budgies.
