Good morning! I am a new member, but I have birds for just over 4 years. I have a nice flock of 9. 2 budgies (Himmel, Sprite) 3 Tiels ( Sher, Gibbs, Pearl) and 2 Quakers (Sunnie, Tubbs). We lost a budgie 2 weeks ago due to her getting egg bound. It was hard, but we are doing okay. Sunnie was our first bird. I didn't want a bird, because I thought they weren't as smart as dogs and not as fun. Boy was I wrong! Now I can't see my life without them in it. I don't have any issues other than Tubbs biting toes off of all the other birds at every opportunity. I know QPs are very cage aggressive. We are just super vigilant when all the FIDs are out together. I hope to be an active member here and learn a lot.

Welcome aboard to you and your whole flock! That's quite a menagerie you've got there! Birds are incredible. When we got Cupcake, my wife had no experience with birds, and five years in still remarks on how surprisingly deep the connection that forms with these charming little creatures is. They can be quite a handful, but so very worth it

Welcome Moose and your entire flock. Glad to have you aboard. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have as the members here are willing to help at any time. We love stories about the birds as well as pictures.
You mentioned your Quaker biting the toes off of other birds and my Oscar has done the same thing. Very defensive of his cage. Only I am allowed anywhere near it because I am his girlfriend... lol.
