I want to know b/c I have no idea when Ollie's hatch day was?
It's red and the animal shelter said he was 4 or 5 years but I read online in Canada if a band is red their either 8 years old (from now) or were born in 2015.

Hard question, Hannah. Presumably the shelter was going with what they were told by whoever relinquished him, and that can certainly be wrong. If you read the color code on an official site, I'd probably go with that and assume he's eight. Have you tried using the code to look up his breeder?. I think he was born in 2009 judging by the band, it says 'D' right under the 09 though, and I can't find what that means on the site. It's different from his breeders code too.

I would try contacting the breeder, if you can figure that part out.
