Any one else experience this? I would sign in and then instead of loading an ad would open about a casino while it was loading my notifications.
Sorry I posted this in the wrong area since I'm on mobile and I just switched to desktop and I realized there's more options. how do I move it?

Hmm, I'm not sure, as it hasn't happened to me - Aaron will see this soon, I'm guessing, and he's great at computer stuff.
Edit: it did happen a few times on my iPhone (not my laptop) and I had to exit altogether and reload the page.

Hi again, Hannah, I just looked back through the threads and Julianna had this problem back in June. I don't know whether there was an ultimate solution - look under the 'General Chit Chat' link and the thread titled 'Ads causing problems'.

Yeah... sadly this is a function of the advertisements. We don't have any control over what ads pop up, unfortunately. On a computer you can install an ad blocker, which should ultimately solve the problem... On your phone that isn't an option.
I'm still thinking about paying to have the ads removed. Any of us can do it, actually... I did discover that we have the option to make it so the ad-free page views apply only to people that are logged in. That would make it pretty affordable to get rid of the ads at the current level of site activity. I'm going to look into doing this again.

It's okay, it hasn't happened again, I think it might've just been my phone.
