Today, we're celebrating Ralph's 7th hatchday. I've noted before how difficult it is to spoil him any more on his hatchday than he's spoiled on any other day. He did get some special treats today that he doesn't get often, and he got some new sticks to build with. The pet store where I got him sent a coupon for a free birthday treat for Ralph, so I picked up some yogurt-covered papaya pieces for him. He likes those. He got some extra playtime outside his cage today too, and he enjoyed that.

Happy hatchday Ralph... wow seven already. I hope you had a great day and wish you many many more. I must try those yogurt covered things for Oscar. He likes a little plain yogurt but I never thought of those treats. Good one!!

Ralph and I thank you for your good wishes. I mentioned to Ralph on Saturday that it was seven years ago that he first popped out of an egg. He sat there nodding his head, as though he remembered that special day clearly.

How careless of me to miss your big day, Ralph! I hope you spent much of the day reminding Gary what a lucky one he is - nearly seven years of glorious servitude!

Well, as so many of us have previously commented in other threads, I s'pose that means you only have roughly 30-35 years of thankless servitude left, Gary

Well, as so many of us have previously commented in other threads, I s'pose that means you only have roughly 30-35 years of thankless servitude left, Gary And I'm looking forward to every minute of it. Ralph has been kind enough to share some of his hatchday treats with Scooter, so they've both been enjoying the yogurt-dipped papaya chunks.

Further proof that Ralph is, indeed, a gentleman. Tell him my gang squawks a big "happy birthday" to him and wishes for continued spoilage and gentlemanly behavior, even Clyde, who is far from a gentleman.
