This has already been done before but I'm curious because Ollie's poop changes depending on what he eats and it's different when he first gets up while my budgies poop only changes if they have carrots or lettuce. I give his fruits and vegetables everyday and clean his water in the morning then when I get home from school and again after if it's dirty. I give him zupreem fruit small bird pellets (for cockatiels and Quakers) since he doesn't like any other brands. Ever since I've got him my mom and I have noticed his poop changes based off of the seeds we give him (we used to give him a seed and pellet mix I think great choice it was the only one without sunflower seeds) but now we give him Hagens Cockateil, when we first switched him his poops became very watery and then they were back to normal. When we were trying different sorts of pellets the same things happened. The first few days with him his urine was green then yellow but the vet at the shelter said it was alright. Anyway: Cucumber makes his poop watery but spinach and lettuce don't Apples make it less watery Peppers and eggs make it just right but he regurgitates after.

Cucumber definitely makes Bonnie's poops more watery, too. But she hardly eats any these days (her taste seems to have changed). The regurgitation might be a 'mating' behaviour quakers seem to do to their preferred human after eating soft food like egg. Others will correct this if I'm wrong.

If changes occur in droppings that you can tie back to changes in diet, and things return to normal shortly thereafter, that is pretty much always fine. Cucumber definitely has that effect on Cupcake as well.
I think you are correct, biteybird, that does sound like a mating behavior. Regurgitation is voluntary, so unless the bird is actually vomiting after eating those things, it's going to be hormone related... And like biteybird said, it's probably because it's a soft food, akin to regurgitated food passed from one bird to another.

Thumbs up to poop land... lol. We should be on the Dr. Oz show... (not sure if you get that show where you are but it is a real Dr. and he talks about poop often enough). Let's us know which ones are healthy and not.
Speaking of cucumbers I have been eating a ton of them lately from my garden... (cannot waste that good stuff)... and boy... is my belly acting up... I am sure it is a case of too many cucumbers.
