Hi all, I've been unable to get on this Forum at all for a couple of weeks...I use Mac computers at home and whenever I go to the Forum website all of my devices (Mac Mini, MacBook Pro, iPad & iPhone) bring up a message saying Safari can't find the Server.
I looked up some forums and applied the 'fixes' I found (e.g., clearing the cache & cookies, resetting network settings, resetting Safari, adding 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4. to DNS), to no avail.
I am only able to access the Forum right now because I brought a PC laptop home from work.
Any ideas, anyone?
I'm not a computer expert, but I think it has to be a simple setting somewhere in Safari.
Hopefully it will fix itself sometime, but meanwhile I haven't been able to read or contribute to anything on the Forum.

I use safari most of the time and I am right now. I've not had any problems so I don't know why you would be on all your devices that use safari.

Thanks Will, it's a mystery to me...my phone and MacBook Pro are brand new, but the Mac Mini and iPad are both about 4-5 years old. So whatever the problem is, I don't think the devices themselves are the issue; most probably a software thing. Maybe Aaron will see this post and have an idea.

I use my iPad and haven't had any unusual problems. Do you suppose it has anything to do with the domain name change? Anyway, it's good to hear from you. I was thinking about starting a "where is biteybird?" thread.

Thanks Easttex! I will try my Mac when I get back home tomorrow (I've only been able to get on the Forum the last couple of days because I'm using my work laptop).

OK, all good, my Mac stuff is working! I think it must have been because of the change in domain name. Yay!

I had trouble too, I go on a mini iPad. It just kept saying can not open the page. I found the link on a fb page Lots going on right now plus one of my dogs was very sick this summer and just lost his battle a week and a half ago I just read the other thread too and see the domain is changed. Glad you and Arron got it all sorted out Dani! Thanks

I noticed that you, too, had been scarce, Caseysmom. I'm sorry to read that part of it had to do with the loss of your dog. That's rough. I hope things are looking up for you.

Thanks Gaston was very a very special and much loved part of our family, Daniel is lost without him. What the vet put down to dental problems and me spoiling him by trying to fed him everything yummy... From his own steak to salmon, chicken... You name it I tried. But he just would hardly eat. I asked to see a specialist and they determined with ultrasounds that he had large tumours in his neck pushing on his trachea and there was no way to cure it . He left us at 330 Saturday the third of September peacefully in our backyard while a hummingbird sat above both of us on a wire watching. I had been waiting all summer to get pics of them but that afternoon while I was holding Gaston was the only time I saw them this season things will be hopefully looking up by Thursday evening next week, after a special little member of our family has undergone surgery. Until then we wait..... I did end up with four healthy baby finches so that was cool. So far they are in with the owls, I hope they keep getting along.

That must have been heartbreaking. I imagine you might like to box the ears of your vet.
The owls don't try to eat the finches?

The babies are shaft tail finches Owl finches are just a little smaller than them but way more active and talkative There is a little discussion going on right now as the babies are trying to switch to the owl finches sleeping area. Normally the babies are in bed first. Not sure why they want to switch it up tonight I will change the paper and get everyone calmed down

Sorry to hear about Gaston. I remember mentions of him in some of your posts, and it seems to me you posted a photo of him too. I'm sure he will be missed.
