Zoe has been going through an extremely heavy molt, and because of the large amount of blood feathers has been pulling a few bloody feathers out. We've been giving her daily baths, and aloe, but she's still doing it. She only does it at night because we keep a close eye on her during the day. We've read about using chamomile tea to help calm them down, but can't find how to dilute it. Can someone please tell me how its done? Or if anyone has any other advice it would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Poor Zoe! I've seen a number of references for using chamomile, but it seems like just about everyone uses their own formula. Some give their birds full strength tea while others dilute it a lot. If it were me, I'd start with organic tea, brew a cup as I would for myself and then dilute it with a cup of water. Maybe someone else will be along who has actually used it and can weigh in on the most effective ratio.

I make a mug of chamomile tea (organic and no caffeine) - let it cool a little and throw out half and replace it with cold water. This seems to work for Shah.
