I guess you may know that today is Canada's birthday being a very young 149 years old. Yeaaaaahhhhh Canada. There are many events going on around town and almost everyone has the day off work.
We went to the park and listened to a few good bands play and watched the children bounce around in those blow up things. Of course there is food and beer everywhere lol.... and many many Canadian flags.
I love being Canadian and I love this country. |

There are many things I like about Canada and Canadians. I considered trying to pass as one when I moved to Belgium.  One thing I didn't realize until fairly recently is that Canada has some wonderful cuisine. Mmmmm, Nanaimo bars. |

Happy Canada Day to everyone up north and to displaced Canadians everywhere. My grandmother came from Canada, so I have a little Canadian blood coursing through my veins.  As easttex said, there are plenty of good things to say about Canada and Canadians. Hope everyone has a great time celebrating Canada Day. |

I decided to go hiking instead of downtown for the Canada day celebrations I was rewarded by finding a killdeer nest and four hatchlings. I watched them and took pics for quite a while! You can be a honorary Canadian Gary!

Sorry Easttex you are most welcome to honorary status too, I was rushed that night, lots going on, and our family added our own new Canadian to Canada last week. I am now a proud Nana to two grandsons!
and thanks, i should really just get clicking on the birds in our house, and not just the wild ones outside!

Congratulations Caseysmom.... two grandsons!!!!! that is awesome. I am sure he is beautiful... don't think I have seen a baby that isn't beautiful. Hope the Mom is doing well.

Actually, I have a great niece or nephew on the way I'm pretty excited about. Congratulations, Caseysmom and thanks for the honorary. I may need to be a Canadian yet. |
