Hey, well done! That's better than how we went with it.

You're doing great! I've reverted back to the aviator harness, as the flightsuit seems to dissuade Maya from pooping, but I HAVE discovered that this place: www.diapersforbirds.com sells birdie vests which don't cover the vent. Maya is getting there with not chewing on the harness when it's put on her, but is still not a fan. We're slowly making progress though. Keep going!

Hi, I have decided to buy a jungle vest from www.diapersforbirds.com. Its going to take three weeks to ship here and then the real battle will begin of trying to convince Normy into it!! Wish me luck!

Hahaha, good luck! I still believe it's possible. I guess some birds never do acclimatise, but you've got a better chance if you start young, stay consistent and use rewards. I can now get Maya INTO her harness, the trick is keeping her from incessantly chewing it, but we're working on that! Good luck!

No comment from me... I tried the harness but I just can't do it as Oscar is just too afraid. I feel like I am torturing him trying to get it on.

Hello Everyone,
Norma's jungle vest arrived today and... he got straight in it!! I was ready to start a long to week process of slowly introducing the harness to him and letting him nibble at it and become familiar but instead I put it on the top of his cage and he stood straight on it. I then thought, why not... lets give it a try. I can't say he exactly LOVED getting in it but he let me, not one bite or screech. Once he had it on, he then hopped straight on my shoulder and proceed to try and chew at it! He didn't seem to distressed though so we went for a little adventure outside into the backyard. He just chewed and chatted to me. I then took it off, after about fifteen minutes with it on. He seemed quite relieved to have it off but not to bad. I think it went really well! Lets see if he lets me put it on him again tomorrow... he is more clued in now to what it is so it may be more difficult!!
Wish me luck!
