So today we got back from a trip to Ottawa, and Oscar has been at the sitters for 6 days. I just love returning so that I can watch his reaction. This time things went really well and I never got that "where have you been bite".
He was so happy to see me... I had tears in my eyes. He instantly got on my shoulder and picked every hair he could find.. lol. He kept kissing my lips nice and softly.
It was an awesome reunion. I don't think the sitter lets him out of his cage as much as I do.... but then again.... no one can take care of my little boy like I do. All the way home, he was happy and kissing me. I kept saying we are going to Oscar's house.... and he would turn around on my finger... like he was happy.
As usual, the minute we enter the house, he wants a bath. (This happens every single time he leaves the sitters). So I could barely fill the bathroom sink with water, and he was jumping off my hand to get into it. After his bath, I always rap him in a little towel, and bring him to his cage .... which he loves. As soon as he is dry enough... he wants to go to his Condo.... lol.... Get reunited I imagine. He spent about 2 hours in there....and was ready for lots of attention.
Of course he got to eat dinner with me... which I do not think happens at the sitters... so you could almost see the smile in his eyes. At 8:00 bedtime... he forgot to go to his cage... so I helped him tuck in. I know he was happy to be there. Not a peep out of him after that until I got up in the morning.
Morning time... and he wanted to sit with me and get his little face rubbed... and his neck.... OMG it was soooooooo sweet. I know for sure.... he knows his home and is happy to be back. I sure did miss him when I was gone. I also realize... that he knows now... that when Mommy says "I will be back"... he knows I actually will be back.
