Hi all, I'm just wondering about seafood for quakers, as I haven't really seen it mentioned.
The other day I bought some cooked prawns for lunch and absentmindedly gave a little piece to Bonnie (which she polished off pronto, unlike most other things which she nibbles then throws on the floor). Then I suddenly thought "Oh no, what if that is one of the dangerous foods?". I spent the rest of the afternoon worrying - I was at work and Bonnie was in the car in her cage, prior to us going away for the weekend.
Anyway, she's fine...phew!
What's the view on seafood for quakers? Cooked/raw? Anything not allowed? Thanks...

I haven't given Shah any prawns but cant see that a tiny bit of cooked prawn would hurt - provided they are Aussie caught prawns as I don't trust the other ones.

I wouldn't give it raw, but I don't think a little cooked would be a problem. It's not something they'd get in the wild, but so are a lot of things we give them.

Oh good then, thanks both of you! I think Bonnie is a gourmet....or else a gourmande (AKA glutton), as we've joked about before.

Oscar loves cooked Alaskan king crab. He could eat a whole leg if I let him... but I am too greedy for that. ha ha

I reckon cooked would be ok. I haven't seen seafood mentioned on any NO lists, so I think a little would probably be ok
