This weekend, Normy and I ventured down to my parents, or Normy's grandparents house for a visit. We have traveled there before (its about 2.5/3hrs drive) but Normy has always been on the front seat in his travel cage. This time, I decided to let him out in the car on top of his travel cage. He had such a better time being able to go into his cage when he wanted or sit on my shoulder, or sit on the seat headrest and back and forth haha!! It was also freezing there compared to where I live, so mission get Normy to sleep in his snuggy is a go! I have placed it up nice and high in his cage and placed some of his favourite seeds in there as an incentive! Wish me luck! It looks so nice, I really don't know why he refuses to go in there hahaha

Once he does go in he won't want to leave... I hope Norman doesn't get nippy when he reaches adulthood. We had to stop letting Bonnie out of her cage in our car when she starting biting my hubby; just couldn't risk it happening while he was driving. Hope you all had a great time!

awww, good luck Holly! I'm so glad Normy had a good time. I second biteybird's hope that he doesn't get nippy, but if it is just you in the car, perhaps that won't be a problem if he is bonded to you. The other option is to harness train Norman so that he can be out in the car but you can still control where he goes. Maya is just on the cusp of puberty but is definitely not fully there yet. However, we've been making a huge effort to socialise her in the hopes that this will lessen her biting behaviour. However, as biteybird's bonnie is testament to, this doesn't always work for the duration of puberty, which can last up to about 3 years of age! That won't be a problem just yet, however. I hope Normy enjoys his trip! It is funny how much they seem to love travelling!
