Norman said his first word!! I was so excited I actually fell over haha!
He said, very quietly and a little tentatively, 'hello'!! Previously to this he has made kissy noises but never a word but then today a full word! I can't wait for him to say it again! Yay yay yay!

You might find that times when he thinks you can't hear him, or there's background noise such as a TV or music, he may practice saying things. When Yoshi started talking, he wouldn't talk with me near. If I was away from his cage doing dishes with music on, I'd leave my phone at his cage recording him. And sure enough, he'd be chattering away!

It is a wonderful feeling when your treasured companion speaks. Every time Bonnie says some words I smile! I wonder what word/s Norman will next surprise you with? Zim is right - they often say more when there's background noise. |

That is so cool Holly... good job Norman. I love hearing Oscar talk and he says the cutest things. Of course if we pretend we do not hear him he will go on and on. One of my favorites is when he calls our names... and he will add "come". Like Julianna.... come. Each time he says the "come" he will bob his head up and down. Too funny.
Words you want him to say... just repeat them often. No swear words now... lol

I am going to have to try and record him when I'm not there to see if he says anything. No words since that morning... oh well! I guess he is keeping me in suspense |
