Hello Everyone! I have missed you all! Life has just been so unbeliveable. Just when I think it can't get any busier, it does. Every time I have sat down to post something in this forum, something else has come up and the opportunity is gone. Mr P is fine, for those who are wondering, I'm fine too, everything is good here, just need more hours in the day I have gotten really involved in the Rescue, to the point that I have to question my sanity somedays as to how and why I got *this* involved. Guess this stuff kinda sucks you in though. My last foster , Fruitcaique, the caique, just got adopted this past weekend. It was another match made in Heaven and I'm so happy for her (and me, actually) So it's just Mr P and I for the time being, and he couldnt be happier. He does get grumpy when my fosters stay for too long. I am in the process of making him a new playstand out of part of the bush in my front yard. I'm curious as to whether he will like it. It has been verified to be a bird safe bush, I saw the idea on some facebook page. He also needs his yearly vet appt, he is overdo. Someone was at my house the other day from the Rescue and commented that Mr P was FAT. I think he's just fluffy. We'll see what the vet says. I took a field trip about 6 weeks ago to visit Daisy the Goffins, my foster before Fruity. I miss her but she is doing well and I'm happy. I'm trying to find time to see her again soon. I'm looking at a green cheeked Conuire for my next foster, we'll see. They are supposedly the quietest of the Conures, however, after living with Daisy, everything is relative So.......please leave me some comments and let me know how everyone and their FIDS (horses, dogs, etc) are doing!!!! I'm hoping to be logging on a lot more often! hugs to all

Hi Sharyn & Mr. P! Nice to hear from you…I have to admit I was wondering where you'd got to. I'm glad you're both well. Congratulations on Fruitcaique's new parronts. Bonnie is fine. Don't worry about Mr. P. being fat - apparently so is Oscar (you'll see when you catch up with all the posts from Julianna).

Hi Sharyn! Yup, there is never enough hours in a day or days in a week! Glad you and mr. P are doing well and your rescue found the perfect home. Casey is doing well and always busy following what's going on! She says the funniest things sometimes! We all would prefer some warmer weather, we had a big snowstorm yesterday and the temps are below 0! All my flowers that had been starting are hidden under snow. Gaston and Daniel like running crazy in it though so that's a good thing. We are thinking about adding another pair of finches, our friend just needs to find the time to take us to the breeder. I just read robins like blueberries and cranberries so off to put some down in the yard, as they are lost without their grass and worms!

Hi Sharyn and Mr P! I remember reading about your foster Caique. Glad to hear he has a new home I'm still fairly new to the forum, so not sure if you've seen anything about us yet! I'm Ang. I'm doing really well. I got my first quaker (actually my first ever bird) Skye almost 3 months ago. He is wonderful! He's very affectionate and makes us laugh every day. Then I got my 2nd quaker Loki a couple of weeks ago. He is doing really well but very shy! He's happy as anything to sit on my shoulder (Skye can fly and Loki is clipped) but will NOT go anywhere near my hands so I cannot teach him to step up!

Hey Sharyn and Mr P! Glad to hear everything is going well with you both! Also very happy to hear that both Daisy and Fruitcaique (I love that name) are doing well! Mr P must be thrilled to have you all to yourself right now! Cupcake and the rest of the fam are doing well. Cupcake has been such an angel of a QP lately despite springtime persuasions, so I can't complain! She's been a total sweetheart. I can certainly understand having trouble finding time to post... I too have been struggling with finding the time as well. Never enough time!

I wondered how things were going with Fruitcaique. Missed those updates we got with Daisy. My little bruiser weighed in at 140g this morning. He's also napping a lot, and I'm wondering if his granuloma is growing again. That's another post. I'm glad you and Mr P are doing well!

Hello Sharyn! Glad to hear you and Mr P are getting on well and your fosters are being adopted. My birdy and I are fine. Turns out HE is a SHE so 'Byron' has been rechristened 'Maya'. All doing very well here, Cleo the bunny is enjoying some time in the sun and Maya is coming on leaps and bounds with her harness training, is putting her whole head through the collar and allowing it to be rested on her back, and this is after two and a half weeks of the new harness, so we're doing very well!
Days are, I agree, far too short and it isn't fair! Easttex, I hope your little boy is ok and is not sick. Keep us posted.

Yay! So awesome to hear from everyone Caseysmom, your dogs name (Gaston) cracks me up EVERY time I hear it, and I know I tell you that every time too but it never fails. Hopefully I'll be able to stop by more often, I'm probably going to get a new foster in the next few weeks but I'm not sure what kind of bird yet. I'm sorta hoping another Goffins comes into the Rescue, I miss Daisy I'd like to foster another one.

Greetings to you and Mr P. Glad you're both well. Ralph and I are both doing fine. He wasn't too pleased with our surprise April snowstorm this week (and neither was I)-- he doesn't like it when he can't see over the balcony railing when there's almost 7" of snow piled on it. So, of course, I had to sweep it away so he can watch for things to squawk at out there.
