We went away for the Easter weekend & stayed with our old friends who got a 2-yo sulphur-crested cockatoo about a year ago (after their other cocky died suddenly). OMG, the jealousy that ensued...we got back Sunday arvo and now every time one/both of us leaves Bonnie's immediate vicinity the squawking starts...and continues...and continues...at 2-second intervals. Even when we are there she is NOT happy - talk about NEEDY! Sigh.

Did you touch that other bird? You know that you are not allowed to touch other birds if the quaker is watching - it says so in the Slave Training Manual. You are in big trouble. You might be forgiven in a few days' time but you will have to do a lot of grovelling. Will humans never learn???

'Cocky Boy' would not let us touch him or even come near him...but Bonnie will still not forgive us for wanting to interact with him. Grovelling is necessary, you say? Welcome to our normal state of existence. Forgiveness will simply not occur - and no, seemingly, we don't learn.
