I would like to introduce myself. I have been a member of the forum since 2014 but never posted as I forgot my username. I have finally fixed it!
I have a blue quaker parrot named Jasper. We have had him since February 2013. He's the best little guy, although he can be a bit moody and bitey! He loves everyone in our house but is especially fond of my eldest daughter (she's 21). He has quite an extensive vocabulary (more than 100 words) and tries really hard to sing soft kitty.
He also knows how to quack like a duck and cluck like a chicken and taught himself to meow like a cat from listening to the cats in our house.
I probably won't post very often as I am far from a quaker parrot expert, but when we got him I read so much from this forum. So I extend a kind thank you to everyone on here who have provided me with so much information, and I know if I ever have any questions this is the best place to have them answered.
Thanks for reading!

Hello Jasper and minion! I hope you will feel comfortable joining in the conversations. Another perspective is always welcome. Most of us have experience with exactly one Quaker, and you have that!

Welcome to you and Jasper! Glad you have returned! As easttex indicated, we're always happy to hear more perspectives! These little birds are all different, and while we certainly find common ground, the more birds we can learn about, the better all of our overall knowledge will be... so feel free to share your experiences if you feel so inclined!
