Rocky shoved his ceramic bowl out of his cage yesterday and it broke. He has a big California cage, with brackets for bowls to sit in and doors behind them so you can get the bowls out without opening his cage, and he likes to unlatch those doors and shove the bowl onto the floor, the stinker. So now he needs a new bowl. He had a spare food bowl, which was on the play stand on top of his cage, but he still needs a new one. The local pet shop doesn't cater to big birds. They have few toys, very little food and no bowls and things for big birds. I've looked at Drs. Foster and Smith's website, which is my usual go-to for stuff I can't buy locally, and all their bowls seem to come with clamps and hooks and so on, when all I need is the bowl itself. Anyone have a favorite website for bird dishes?

If you know who manufactured the cage, you could check their site for replacement parts. Anything I've had to do with replacement parts have been reasonably priced.

I found something on Amazon that a reviewer described as fitting her bird's California Cage "perfectly," so I'm going to roll the dice. It's only $8 and if it doesn't fit exactly, I think it will do for a backup, playstand food dish. He can keep using his metal bowl inside his cage, until the next bird fair. They have them twice a year here, and the next is due in March, I think. Surely I can find something there for him, because the bird fair draws vendors for everything from finches to macaws and all points in between.
