I got the DNA results back today, with a 99.98% certainty my bird is a.......... FEMALE!!!!!! I have heard that female cockatiels can become chronic egg layers. Let's hope that doesn't happen.....

Congratulations. My Rebel was a chronic egg layer but Spike (who is female) is 2 years old and hasn't laid an egg at all. Hopefully, your little girl wont be bothered.

Was kind of leaning towards cookie, but it just doesn't seem to fit her. I just can't seem to come up with one.... I'm so indecisive!!!! I have never had this hard coming up with a name....

Daisy, Poppy, Lily, Willow, Sheba (as in Queen of), Rebel, Mia - the list goes on and on. Good luck - let us know what your new girl is called.

Well, cookie, snowflake, freckles... I also like the names suggested also. Feel free to suggest any others. I think I'll narrow it down to three names and post them with a poll on here. I think that will be fun. Thanks guys I appreciate all the suggestions.

All I have to say is, you guys are awesome!!!! Very creative, I may have to make it more than 3 names in the poll.... Lucy and Ricky..... lol!!!! Hadn't even occurred to me!!!! Maybe she can have like 27 names, so I don't have to choose!!! Lol
