Ricky, the link doesn't work, at least not on my iPad. When I click on the word "link" it just opens up your post in a new window. Not that I can help with cockatiel sounds anyway.

Link doesn't work for me either, but cockatiels make some various low growl noises that loosely sound like Quaker purring, although in my experience they are typically a grumpy noise. That said, my experience is solely with my parents' cockatiel, the grumpiest and craziest cockatiel ever known to mankind

I sent off the DNA test today. we should know what it is for sure in the next 7 to 10 days. I am hoping for a boy, but my gut tells me it is a female..... thank you guys as always for being so helpful and putting up with a computer illiterate like me.... lol I am learning though....

Pippin makes that sound when Spike is grooming the top of his head. I think it might be a romantic sound, however, Spike and Pippin seem to have no interest in each other as far as mating is concerned. Let us know how the DNA test goes.

Haha it sure is a cute noise! What a sweetie! But I'm not familiar with that noise, I think again because our 'tiel was not very affectionate.

Because she is making the sound while cuddling up to your hand I'd say it's got to at least be a happy sound.
