First, I know I've asked many questions over the past month, and I apologize for that. I'm a first time parrot owner, and when things come up that I'm unsure of I just like getting advice from knowledgeable, experienced owners. I do appreciate all the advice and feedback you guys have given me!
I mentioned a while ago that Yoshi had started shaking his head, and I wasn't really sure what it was all about. It continued, and everything else seemed fine so I just shrugged it off. Lately, however, he's started making a squeaking sound when he does it. I was able to get it on video tonight.

At the start he makes what I'd call a classic 'quaker grumble'. The other noises sound like normal parrot-type sounds (Bonnie does some of these). But I don't know about the head shaking - it's actually quite a quick tremble/shake, isn't it? I had to look quite closely to see it.
Edit: No need to apologise for asking questions...that's what we're here for, to help each other.

I actually know what the grumble was for, lol. He's been doing it all night because he wants some seeds in his food dish, and I'm trying very hard to wean him off of them. But the head shaking while squeaking is what I'm unsure of. He doesn't seem to make that squeaking sound very much outside of shaking his head like that.

If you don't ask questions, you'll probably never get any answers, so ask all you want. The squeaks seem like normal Quaker parrot sounds to me. Ralph makes all sorts of squeaks and squawks, as do all parrots when they're speaking their native language. The head shake doesn't seem like anything to be concerned about-- it doesn't look like Yoshi's in any kind of distress.

Thanks cnyguy! That makes me feel better. The only thing I could think of that made sense to me was maybe he had fluid in his ears and was trying to shake it out. That's why I was a bit concerned!

Oscar does this head shaking... and when he does it... to me it means NO. I also will shake my head violently back at him when I mean NO and most cases it does work. So maybe Yoshi did not want to be in the position he was... perhaps he wanted to be somewhere else or wanted something else?
Oscar will also put his head under his wing and pretend to prune himself when he means NOT REALLY. I have observed this many times over and over and in all scenarios it fits the situation.
